Mueller had a goal disallowed on his debut for Vancouver in the Major League Soccer.

Thomas Mueller failed to make a perfect debut in the Major League Soccer after his goal was disallowed for offside, as his Vancouver Whitecaps team drew 1-1 with Houston Dynamo at BC Place, Vancouver.

The draw left Vancouver in third place in the Western Conference with 46 points, six points behind conference leaders San Diego and one point behind Minnesota.

"I have mixed feelings, mixed emotions. Honestly, the result is disappointing," Mueller said, as quoted by Yahoo Sports.

"But yeah, I came on at the first moment and scored straight away. The crowd was going wild, but it was ruled out for offside. We have to take the next step in the next game," he continued.

Vancouver had taken a 1-0 lead thanks to a Brian White penalty in the sixth minute when former Bayern Munich striker Mueller came on as a substitute in the 61st minute.
