PB PABSI selects weightlifters for the 2025 SEA Games

The Executive Board of the All-Indonesia Weightlifting Association (PB PABSI) held a National Selection (Seleknas) to prepare for the 2025 Thailand SEA Games, at the Kwini National Training.

The event will feature national and non-national training lifters, with seven women's and six men's classes competing. A total of 22 lifters will compete, comprising 14 female athletes and eight male athletes.

"We are holding this National Selection for transparency and to provide an opportunity for regions with potential lifters to compete with athletes from the National Training Center," said PB PABSI Secretary General Djoko Pramono in an official statement in Jakarta on Tuesday.

Djoko revealed that non-Pelatnas lifters had passed the minimum requirements for the first total lift (MATP) in each class competed in.

"These requirements are important because they serve as a benchmark for athletes who qualify to have at least a chance of winning a medal," said Djoko.
