Middle blocker Phuong Quynh appeared in the match between the Vietnam U-21 women's national volleyball team and the Egyptian national team in the match for 17th to 24th place in the 2025 Women's U-21 World Volleyball Championship which took place at Samatorhealthporia, Surabaya, East Java.
Previously, Phuong Quynh's name was suspected to be included in the list of Vietnamese players disqualified by the FIVB because they were declared male.
According to ANTARA's monitoring at the match location, Phuong Quynh is now appearing to defend Vietnam.
