PSIM Yogyakarta silenced hosts Malut United 2-0 in the fourth week of the Super League match at Gelora Kie Raha Stadium, Ternate.

Goals from Nermin Haljeta in the 69th minute and Domenica Sheva Maresca in the 73rd minute extended PSIM's positive run against Malut United, who are unbeaten in the last three meetings between the two teams.

On the other hand, this is Laskar Kie Raha's first defeat in their last three Super League matches.

PSIM head coach Jean-Paul van Gastel admitted to difficulties in the first half because the game had not developed.

However, in the second half, the players controlled the game and took advantage of dead ball situations to score goals.

"In the second half, we were more dominant and scored two goals. I'm happy because ball possession is very important, especially in the Netherlands, where I'm used to emphasizing that," said Jean-Paul.

"Malut United also created dangerous chances, but the key was our players' ability to win set-piece duels and convert them into goals," he continued.
