Vivo is once again preparing to launch its latest entry-level smartphone and has just released an official teaser for its new smartphone, the Vivo Y500.
The teaser material explains that the smartphone offers top-class resistance, especially to water, and has strong battery life for all-day use.
As reported by Gizmochina on Monday, the teaser material appears to indicate that the phone can be used underwater. This implies that the Vivo Y500 has at least IP68 certification, meaning it is water-resistant.
It's highly likely that the device also features IP69 certification, given that its competitors in the same class offer similar certifications. This means the Vivo Y500 likely offers protection against high-pressure and high-temperature water jets.
If we look at the capabilities of its predecessor, the Vivo Y400, which is equipped with IP68 and IP69, then the Vivo Y500 should also be able to be equipped with these two certifications and even have other enhanced capabilities.
