Mexicali, April 9. Two years after the disappearance of young David Melecio at the Shots bar in Mexicali, family members and friends held a vigil outside the establishment in the city's hotel zone where other young people disappeared.
With candles and various signs, the mother and family members demanded that authorities clarify the case, for which a person is supposedly in custody, but which remains unclear to the family because they have not had access to the investigation file. They even reported receiving threats from those possibly involved in the disappearance.
"The facts have not been clarified; we don't know what happened to our son," said David Alfonso Moelesio's mother, María Luisa Rodríguez Muñoz, who said they went to the place that symbolizes the pain they have endured over the past two years.
They were called to the bathroom and were never heard from again
On April 8, 2023, David Alfonso Melesio and Jesús Manuel Bramasco, 23, went to the nightclub, but were never heard from again.
Their disappearances, along with that of Mauricio Verdugo, are part of the nine investigation files related to this place that was closed and subsequently burned down twice .
To date, the State Attorney General's Office has arrested two people, who are facing criminal proceedings.
