By the time everyone saw this video, the colleagues responsible for editing, filming and interviewing had already left RFA.
Starting in 2019, this group of ambitious young people joined RFA, working alongside Hong Kongers on the front lines to document the city's dramatic transformation. After 2022, they were gradually transferred out of Hong Kong. Despite their long absences, they continued to focus on Hong Kongers, reporting on major news stories both domestically and internationally that have affected Hong Kongers over the past few years.
To this day, this news story of Hong Kong people has not yet ended, but their mission at RFA was suddenly and brutally terminated under unclear circumstances.
Times have changed, and perhaps not everything has a happy ending, but at least everyone in this land has made an effort. The draft of history will not come to an end; the candles of every Hong Konger will continue to burn. And freedom will reappear before our eyes like the sun after a storm, shining brightly upon our Hong Kong.
