Kickboxing athlete Susanti Ndapataka advanced to the semifinals of the women's 60 kg K1 Style class at the 2025 World Games held at the Sichuan Gymnasium, Chengdu, China.
According to the organizer's official website, Susanti narrowly won 2-1 over Portuguese athlete Sofia Oliveira in the quarter-finals.
In the first round, both Susanti and Sofia were cautious so they did not score any points from the three judges who scored their fight.
In the second round, Susanti began to attack aggressively. The Sumbanese athlete increasingly dominated the match in the third round, accumulating nearly twice as many points as her opponent.
Susanti won on points after the three judges gave scores of 6, 5, and 13 respectively.
