The assassinated minister had already been the victim of an attack in 2018: FGE

 

Mexicali, March 11. Ministerial agent Alfredo Pérez Obispo, murdered in Tijuana on Sunday outside his home on Pípila Street in the Mariano Matamoros Sur neighborhood, had already been the victim of an attack in 2018, as confirmed this Monday in Mexicali by the head of the State Attorney General's Office (FGE), María Elena Andrade Ramírez.

He confirmed that the agent was washing his vehicle when he was approached and shot by two individuals.

He mentioned that immediately after the homicide, an investigation was opened and the work history of the officer assigned to the robbery group was reviewed, and that this is one of several lines of inquiry.

The prosecutor emphasized that everything related to her family and work environment, as well as the attack she suffered six years ago, is being investigated.

Finally, he said that the prosecutor's office has no reports that the officer has been threatened .
