Tijuana, December 26.- The Tijuana Regional Prosecutor's Office, through the Zona Centro and Mariano Matamoros Robbery Investigation Units, successfully sentenced two men for violent robbery in separate cases.
Thanks to coordinated investigations between the Public Prosecutor's Office and the State Investigation Agency, the necessary evidence was gathered to sentence the defendants, Iván Daniel García Vázquez and Felipe Iván Carrillo Montaño, to three years and eight months in prison each.
On February 6, 2024, at approximately 9:13 p.m., Iván Daniel García Vázquez, accompanied by another person, entered the Oxxo store located in the Panamericano neighborhood of Tijuana. Using violent force and threatening with a knife, the attackers demanded the victim hand over the money from the cash register. After escaping, Iván Daniel was arrested.
The Control Judge admitted the abbreviated procedure and issued the conviction, imposing three years and eight months in prison, a fine, and payment for damages.
