The Ministry's Director General, Munir al-Barash, said that Gaza hospitals "record daily deaths resulting from famine and malnutrition, in light of Israel's complete closure of the crossings since March 2, preventing the entry of humanitarian aid except in limited quantities that do not meet minimum needs."
Meanwhile, the Israeli occupation forces continued their attacks on various areas of the Gaza Strip, resulting in the deaths of 18 Palestinians on Saturday, including six members of one family.
The Israeli bombing targeted homes, tents housing displaced people, activists waiting for aid, and fishermen. In Khan Yunis, in the southern Gaza Strip, two Palestinians were killed and 15 others were injured in an airstrike targeting tents housing displaced people.
In northern Gaza, five Palestinians were killed and others injured by army fire while waiting for aid near the Zikim crossing. A fisherman was also killed and another injured by Israeli naval fire off the Gaza coast.
In the Bureij refugee camp in the central Gaza Strip, six Palestinians from one family (a couple and their children) were killed in an airstrike that targeted their home. Also in Khan Yunis, two Palestinians were killed in a drone strike that targeted a tent housing displaced persons.
In Rafah, in the southern Gaza Strip, two hungry Palestinians were killed by army fire near an aid distribution center.
For its part, the Euro-Mediterranean Human Rights Monitor reported that the Israeli army "destroyed approximately 400 homes in the Zeitoun neighborhood east of Gaza City over the past six days, by detonating them with booby-trapped robots and bombing them with warplanes," forcing more than 90,000 Palestinians to flee under intense bombardment.
In this context, the Euro-Mediterranean Human Rights Monitor reported that the Israeli occupation army "destroyed approximately 400 homes in the Zeitoun neighborhood east of Gaza City over the past six days, by detonating them with booby-trapped robots and bombing them with warplanes," forcing more than 90,000 Palestinians to flee under intense bombardment.
The Observatory noted that "what is happening in the Zeitoun neighborhood is part of a systematic Israeli policy to impose complete control over Gaza City and displace its residents, in what amounts to a crime of genocide."

The Observatory called on "the international community, including the United Nations and international law enforcement agencies, to urgently intervene to stop the massacres, ensure the protection of civilians, and hold the occupation leaders accountable for the horrific crimes committed against the population."

For its part, the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) warned that one million women and girls in the Gaza Strip face mass starvation amid the ongoing war and stifling blockade.
The UN agency explained in a statement that women and girls "are forced to adopt highly dangerous survival strategies, such as going out in search of food and water while being exposed to the risk of murder and violence."
The Gaza Strip is experiencing one of the worst humanitarian crises in its history, with worsening famine intersecting with Israel's genocidal war, amid UN warnings of "unprecedented mass massacres" if the escalation continues.
With American support, Israel has been committing genocide in Gaza since October 7, 2023, including killing, starvation, destruction, and forced displacement, ignoring all international calls and orders from the International Court of Justice to halt it.
