He continued, "I remember with compassion the symbol of sacrifice and courage, Anas, and I offer my deepest condolences to his family, the people of Gaza, and all members of the media family. I ask God to grant him Paradise and elevate his status in the highest heavens."

He stated that Al-Sharif, through his courageous efforts to convey the truth to the world, had become a conscience not only for Gaza but for all of humanity, and had taken his place on the front lines of humanity.

He stressed that "this treacherous attack on humanity will never be forgotten, and our struggle will only grow stronger. Victory will inevitably be on the side of human dignity one day."

Early Monday morning, the government media office in Gaza said, "The colleagues assassinated by the treacherous Israeli hand are: Anas al-Sharif, Mohammed Qreiqea, photojournalists Ibrahim Zaher and Moamen Aliwa, and their assistant Mohammed Noufal."
