The joint statement by Turkey, Qatar, Oman, Slovenia, South Africa, Spain, Bangladesh, Brazil, Colombia, Indonesia, Ireland, Libya, Malaysia, Maldives, Mexico, and Pakistan stated that the flotilla's goal is to deliver humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip, raise awareness of the urgent humanitarian needs of the Palestinian people, and call for an end to the war in Gaza.
He stressed that these goals are consistent with the positions of the signatory governments, in addition to their adherence to the principles of international law, including international humanitarian law.
In their statement, the ministers called for refraining from any illegal or violent actions against the flotilla, stressing the need to respect international law and international humanitarian law.
The statement also reminded that any violation of international law or the human rights of flotilla participants, including attacks on ships in international waters or unlawful detentions, "will lead to accountability."

The "Global Resilience Fleet" comprises approximately 50 ships currently sailing toward a designated meeting point in the Mediterranean. Among the participants are approximately 50 activists from Turkey, the "largest number" of any delegation.
