A hearing to formulate charges against the former Chihuahua prosecutor is held.

Chihuahua, Chih., November 22. The former prosecutor investigating human rights violations and forced disappearances in Chihuahua and principal investigator of the X-Files, Francisco GA, appeared this Tuesday at a hearing to formulate charges before control judge Hortensia García Rodríguez, and accused by the State Attorney General's Office of the crime of torture, in criminal case 3176/2022.

At the time of going to press, the hearing continued at the headquarters of the State Court of Justice in the state capital, without concluding the reading of the statements of at least 14 witnesses who supported the accusation, and with the mention of former Governor Javier Corral Jurado in the investigation file because the alleged acts of torture were part of "Operation Justice for Chihuahua" or "X-Files," which was the legal strategy of the PAN administration to punish the corruption of his predecessor, César Duarte Jáquez.

The former prosecutor and defendant, Francisco G., led his own legal defense, accompanied by lawyers Roberto López, Alfonso Pérez, Pamela Medina, Carlos Torres and Cristina Miramontes, while, on behalf of the prosecution, appeared the public ministry agent, Erika Alvídrez, and Guillermo Saucedo, legal advisor to the victim, identified with the reserved identity JJBP1/2021, who suffered the alleged acts of torture.
