Amid Israeli intransigence, Qatar confirms contacts to resume Gaza negotiations with a "different model."

This came according to what Al-Ansari stated at the weekly press conference in the Qatari capital, Doha, where he said: "There are contacts to try to stop the operations (the Israeli genocide in Gaza) and return to negotiations, but there is nothing new, and Israel has not responded to the ceasefire proposal yet."

Asked about discussions on a comprehensive deal, the Qatari official replied, "There are contacts underway to reach a different model. I won't go into details, but we are open to all ideas."

Al-Ansari added, "But at the moment, the offer on the table is the one Hamas has accepted. However, unofficially, there is an exchange of ideas and we are examining what can be accomplished."

A Qatari Foreign Ministry spokesman considered Tel Aviv's threat to annex the occupied West Bank "a threat, blackmail, and a lack of desire for peace." He emphasized that Israel's steps are now facing regional and international opposition, saying, "The issue is clear to the international community: a unified position must be formed to stop Israel."

Al-Ansari stressed that the humanitarian issue cannot be linked to the deal, calling for the opening of crossings and the entry of aid to the Gaza Strip, which is facing famine due to the Israeli blockade. He said that anything less would be a violation of international law.

The Qatari Foreign Ministry spokesperson emphasized the importance of appropriate Palestinian politicians' presence at all international forums, referring to the United States' revocation of visas for Palestinian officials who were scheduled to attend the upcoming UN General Assembly meeting in New York.
