AMLO's condolences on the death of Josetxo Zaldua


 Mexico City, September 30.- President  Andrés Manuel López Obrador  expressed his  condolences  for the  death  of  Josetxo Zaldua Lasa ,  general coordinator  of  La Jornada Publishing  , and sent his condolences to all the workers of this publishing house, to all the  day laborers , he said.

At the start of the morning press conference at the National Palace, the president expressed his condolences.
"First, we would like to send our condolences to all the employees of  La Jornada  for the passing of  Josetxo Zaldua , its  editorial director .

“I met  Josetxo  several years ago; he was—and that's where I met him—a  correspondent  in  Nicaragua . I once accompanied engineer (Cuauhtémoc) Cárdenas on a visit to Managua, and  Josetxo  was there as a correspondent.”

And then - the president continued - in Mexico City he was a journalist and director of  La Jornada .

"Our condolences to all the day laborers, to  Carmen Lira , director of  La Jornada , who was also a great friend. A hug to  Carmen  and everyone, and of course to her family," the president expressed.

The general editor  of  La  Jornada  passed away last Tuesday in Mexico City at the age of 70.
