Canon has officially introduced the EOS C50, its smallest cinema camera designed to appeal to social media content creators and professional filmmakers alike.
Reported by Endgadget on Wednesday, this camera comes with a mirrorless RF mount and a new full-frame sensor capable of recording internal RAW up to 7K 60p resolution and shooting 32-megapixel photos, making it a versatile device for creative workers.
Another standout feature is simultaneous crop recording , which allows for widescreen 4K recording while simultaneously producing vertical 2K videos in 9:17, 9:16, or 1:1 ratios for social media. This feature will be especially useful for YouTube creators who are also active on Instagram or TikTok.
Despite its compact body , weighing just 1.5 pounds (680 grams), the EOS C50 still packs premium features. The camera's full-frame CMOS sensor features a dual ISO system operating in Canon Log 2 at ISO 800 and 6400 for improved low-light performance.
