Cecut will hold a week of children's theater

Tijuana, September 4. The Espiral Theater Collective will present the 17th Baja California Children's Theater Week "Ray Garduño" from September 7-13.

The Tijuana Cultural Center's Performance Hall (Cecut) will host a daily children's play, showcasing performances by theater groups from Baja California Sur, Chihuahua, Durango, Veracruz, and Baja California.

Beginning on September 7th with the production, recommended for children ages 2 to 6, "Rayo Cocina Lento" (Rayo Slow Cooker), by the Espiral Theater Collective, which tells the story of Rayo, in the privacy of his kitchen, preparing to welcome his aunt, who has been away for many years due to her work.

“Father and Daughter (or How to Learn to Ride a Bicycle),” by La Maleta Teatro, will be released on September 8th for children ages 7 and up. It tells the story of a daughter who runs away to find her father, who disappeared while searching for a bicycle, and discovers a path full of enigmas.

On September 9th, it will be the turn of “The Happy Prince,” by Maika Teatro, a play for children ages 4 and up. It will showcase the friendship between a statue and a swallow, two compassionate beings in the face of humanity's atrocities who, through camaraderie, generosity, and the affection that unites them, are capable of overcoming everything, even death.

Títeres de la Baja will present “TIPAI” on September 10, a show for children ages 6 to 12 who are interested in a magical journey where myths and legends of the indigenous peoples of Baja California come to life.

“LIBRE,” by LUNIA Teatro, invites families with babies ages 0 to 3 to experience this show on September 11th, which explores the mobility, independence, and autonomy of babies from birth until they begin walking and jumping.
