Construction of the justice center and SEMEFO is progressing; SIDURT head


 TIJUANA, BC, September 16, 2021.- Karen Postlethwaite Montijo, head of the Secretariat of Infrastructure, Urban Development and Territorial Reorganization (SIDURT) , indicated that progress is being made in the construction of the Criminal Justice Center in the eastern zone of Tijuana and the SEMEFO, which will be operational in the coming months.

The justice center will house offices of the General Secretariat of Government (SGG) , the State Attorney General's Office (FGE) , and the state Judiciary, including an extension of the Forensic Medical Service (SEMEFO) , with a total investment of $106 million pesos, reported the head of SIDURT.

He noted that work is also underway on the executive project for road integrations, where $49 million pesos of the total project will be invested. This will allow the New Justice Center to have quick and easy access for citizens.

He also noted that the SEMEFO extension will be completed in October, while the remaining work will be completed in December, serving a population of 1.7 million people.
