Tijuana, March 6 - With the aim of promoting actions that guarantee access to a life free of violence for women, girls and adolescents, in response to the policies of Governor Marina del Pilar Avila Olmeda, a commitment was generated by the agencies that make up the State System for the Prevention, Attention, Punishment and Eradication of Violence against Women in Baja California (SEPASEVM) to comply with the prevention measures of the Declaration of Gender Violence Alert against Women (DAVGM).
The agreements
The president of the System and Secretary General of Government, Catalino Zavala Márquez, reported that, as part of the agreements reached, ongoing reports on progress by department will be prepared. These reports will be presented at extraordinary sessions and subsequently posted on the DAVGM website.
Therefore, the secretary called for visibility of the actions being carried out by all the departments involved, whose hard and constant work has resulted in significant progress.
Implementations
Likewise, it was agreed to establish a temporary commission to develop a proposal for specialized commissions, aligning the guidelines established by the Law on Women's Access to a Life Free of Violence for the State of Baja California; the General Law on Women's Access to a Life Free of Violence; and the Declaration of Gender-Based Violence against Women for the State of Baja California.
In addition, the integration of the Interinstitutional Commission against Human Trafficking into SEPASEVM was approved, as well as the creation of links between the departments that comprise the System to assist with the National Data and Information Bank on Cases of Violence against Women (BANAVIM).
