In the Tal al-Hawa refugee camp, west of Gaza City, Israeli airstrikes targeted homes and public facilities, resulting in deaths and injuries. The Israeli army also detonated 10 explosive-laden vehicles in the neighborhood's vicinity. Israeli aircraft launched airstrikes north and south of the city using drones equipped with firearms, wounding a number of civilians.
In the Tuffah area east of the city, four Palestinians were killed in a bombing that targeted a family home in Shawa Square. Near Yarmouk Stadium in the city center, two children were killed and others were injured in an airstrike on the Al-Mu'tasim School, which houses displaced persons.
In the Sabra neighborhood in the south of the city, a Palestinian woman was killed and others were injured in shelling targeting a civilian gathering near the Jordanian Hospital. Children and women were also injured in airstrikes targeting a tent housing displaced persons near the Islamic University building. The Civil Defense announced that a number of civilians were injured by bullets fired randomly by Israeli drones.
Israeli occupation forces also detonated a number of car bombs north of the city, in the areas east of Sheikh Radwan and Al-Nafaq Street, and launched a bombardment north of Al-Bureij camp in the northwestern areas of the city.
The Israeli occupation army dropped leaflets warning Palestinians in the Shati refugee camp to stay in the northern areas and to move south. It also announced the closure of Salah al-Din Street in Gaza City, leaving Rashid Street as the only route out of the city.
Israeli airstrikes targeted civilian gatherings on Al-Ishrin Street in the Nuseirat refugee camp, killing one Palestinian and wounding others. Meanwhile, Al-Shifa Hospital reported the deaths of two children and the injury of others in an airstrike on a school housing displaced persons in the city center.
Sources also reported that the occupation forces opened fire on people waiting for humanitarian aid near the Netzarim axis, north of the Nuseirat camp.
On Friday, the Palestinian Ministry of Health announced the deaths of at least 40 Palestinians in Israeli artillery and airstrikes, including 21 in Gaza City. Dozens more were injured in a series of raids targeting homes and tents housing displaced people in the Strip.
15 out of 16 martyrs were civilians.

In this context, the British newspaper The Guardian reported on Friday that approximately 15 out of 16 Palestinians killed by the Israeli occupation army in Gaza City since last March were civilians, based on data from ACLED, an independent organization that monitors armed conflicts.
The newspaper added that the occupation carried out more than 3,500 airstrikes over the past six months, resulting in the deaths of more than 9,500 people, most of them civilians, including 40 Hamas leaders and key figures.
Between August 11 and September 13, the Israeli occupation army destroyed more than 3,600 buildings and towers in Gaza City, while destroying approximately 13,000 tents housing displaced persons, according to data from the government media office in Gaza.
The number of starvation victims is rising
The Palestinian Ministry of Health announced on Friday that the death toll from malnutrition, resulting from Israel's starvation policy since October 7, 2023, has risen to 440 Palestinians, including 147 children, with four new deaths recorded within 24 hours, reflecting the ongoing severe humanitarian crisis in the Gaza Strip.
The ministry noted that since the Integrated Food Security Phase Classification (IPC) declared a famine in Gaza on August 22, "162 deaths, including 32 children, have been recorded."
Since March 2, Israel has closed all crossings into Gaza, preventing any humanitarian aid from entering the territory. This has plunged the Strip into famine, despite the backlog of aid trucks at its borders.
With American support, Israel has been committing genocide in Gaza since October 7, 2023, including killing, starvation, destruction, and forced displacement. This has left 65,174 Palestinians martyred, 166,071 wounded, most of them children and women, and hundreds of thousands displaced.
