The Hebrew newspaper Haaretz reported that five Israelis were killed in a shooting attack in the Ramot settlement near Jerusalem, while several of the injured were treated at the scene, according to Israeli ambulance services.

For its part, the Israeli newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth reported: "15 people were injured at the shooting site north of Jerusalem," while the Israeli police confirmed in a statement that "a short time ago, the police received a report of a shooting incident at the Ramot Junction."

She added: "As a result of the shooting, there were a number of injured people at the scene, and the two attackers were neutralized."

The Israeli ambulance service reported that 26 people suffered from panic attacks at the scene of the shooting in Jerusalem.

For its part, Channel 12 reported that two Palestinians opened fire on Israeli buses in the area, while Haaretz reported that the two perpetrators of the attack were killed.

The newspaper Israel Hayom reported that the attack in Jerusalem was carried out by two individuals who came from the occupied West Bank, most likely from a village in Ramallah. The Israeli Broadcasting Authority said that "the weapon of one of the attackers, which was found at the scene, was a Carlo rifle."

In this context, the Israeli army radio reported that a military cordon was imposed on four Palestinian villages in the Jerusalem envelope: Qatana, Biddu, Beit Anan, and Beit Duqu.

Hamas immediately issued a statement regarding the operation, saying: “ We congratulate the unique, heroic operation carried out by two Palestinian resistance fighters at the Ramot settlement junction, north of occupied Jerusalem.”

She added, "We affirm that this operation is a natural response to the occupation's crimes and the war of extermination it is waging against our people. It is a clear message that its plans to occupy and destroy Gaza City and desecrate Al-Aqsa Mosque will not go unpunished."

In parallel with the war of extermination in Gaza, the Israeli army and settlers in the West Bank, including occupied East Jerusalem, killed at least 1,018 Palestinians, injured nearly 7,000 others, and arrested more than 19,000, according to Palestinian data.

With American support, Israel has been committing genocide in Gaza since October 7, 2023, leaving 64,368 Palestinians dead, 162,367 injured, most of them children and women, more than 9,000 missing, hundreds of thousands displaced, and a famine that has claimed the lives of 382 Palestinians, including 135 children.
