Five young people who attended a fair in Jalisco disappear.

 

Guadalajara, Jalisco, August 14. Five friends in their twenties have been missing since last Friday in Lagos de Moreno, a municipality in the Altos region of Jalisco located 40 kilometers from Encarnación de Díaz, where exactly two weeks ago four young women , three of them sisters, disappeared.  Despite federal, state, and municipal authorities searching for the young men, there has been no progress in either case.  The missing boys are Roberto Olmeda Cuéllar, Diego Lara Santoyo, Uriel Galván González, Jaime Alonso Miranda, and Dante Hernández. They went together to the Lagos 2023 fair. Their families had no news of them since Friday night, so they reported their absence on Saturday.  They take their pain to a football stadium Families have complained of excessive paperwork at the State Attorney General's regional office, slowness in taking statements, delays in beginning the search, and a lack of technology to track locations or cell phone calls, which has resulted in hours of vital search time being lost .  Therefore, this Sunday at noon, they demonstrated outside the JFV soccer stadium, taking advantage of the fact that a Copa Jalisco semifinal was being played and the stadium was packed. After this demonstration, Mayor Tecutli Gómez, from the Citizens' Movement party and who was present at the match, approached the group and said that he had been in contact with the state security coordinator, Ricardo Sánchez, since Saturday to present the case and request a quick response.  He also stated that this Monday, three days after the disappearances, personnel from the State Commission for the Search for Persons (CEBP) would travel to Lagos de Moreno to further investigate.
