Gulf leaders call for a defense meeting in Doha in response to Israeli aggression.

This came in the final statement of the extraordinary meeting of the Supreme Council of the Gulf Cooperation Council regarding the Israeli attack on the State of Qatar, which was held today in Doha in conjunction with the Arab-Islamic Summit.

According to the final statement, "the leaders directed the GCC Joint Defense Council to hold an urgent meeting in Doha, preceded by a meeting of the Supreme Military Committee."

The statement explained that the Joint Defense Council meeting aims to "assess the defense posture of the GCC states and the sources of threat in light of the Israeli aggression against the State of Qatar, and to direct the unified military command to take the necessary executive measures to activate joint defense mechanisms and Gulf deterrence capabilities."

Earlier, the emergency Arab-Islamic summit began in Doha, with the participation of leaders and officials from 57 countries, following the Israeli attack on the Hamas negotiating delegation in Qatar.

On Tuesday, the Israeli occupation army launched an airstrike against Hamas's leadership in Doha. Qatar condemned the attack, reiterating its right to respond to the attack, which killed a member of Qatar's internal security forces.
