The Indonesian League operator, I.League, has not yet promised youth competitions or reserve teams for domestic clubs.
Indonesia's two top-tier competitions, the BRI Super League and the Pegadaian Championship, are now played more professionally. One difference is the implementation of VAR, even in the Championship League.
"The league does have a vision, but as I said earlier, we interact and communicate with PSSI, and PSSI has a much bigger roadmap than just that," Ferry said after the launch of the Pegadaian Championship at the Adimulia Hotel, Medan.
"Therefore, we will have to wait and see in the coming years what we can collaborate on, and whether the League can implement all of this," said Ferry.
According to Ferry, there are a number of obstacles that make various competitions below Indonesia's two top-tier leagues difficult to play, namely infrastructure issues, the use of LED and VAR, the Elite Pro Academy competition, and the U-19 competition, which is still a home tournament.
