Indonesia failed to qualify for the U-23 Asian Cup after losing 0-1 to South Korea

 The Indonesian U-23 national team had to abandon their hopes of appearing in the 2026 AFC U-23 Cup after suffering a narrow 0-1 defeat to South Korea in the final match of the AFC U-23 Cup Qualifiers.

The match, held at the Gelora Delta Stadium in Sidoarjo on Tuesday (9/9), saw Indonesia finish as runners-up in Group J with four points, but failed to compete for the best runner-up slot.

Indonesia immediately played aggressively from the start. A golden opportunity was created in the first minute through a Rayhan Hannan cross, but no player was there to meet it in front of goal.
