Tijuana, September 20.- The head of the Ministry of Labor and Social Welfare (STPS) , Luis Javier Algorri Franco, accompanied by Governor Jaime Bonilla, reported that the Inspection Directorate continues the process of inspecting companies with complaints of non-compliance with labor laws in the state.
On the other hand, he announced the development of the competition for the designation of 50 conciliators who will form part of the Baja California Conciliation Center .
"The vast majority of these inspections are based on complaints filed by the workers themselves, which we greatly appreciate, because it is through these measures that we can review compliance with the general working conditions," said Algorri Franco.
Inspection of companies is maintained
The state official indicated that some processes have already been completed, such as the case of the GEN, S. de RL de CV "Imagen ART" clinic; San Vicente Camalú, S. de PR de RL (Agricultural). He also emphasized that this month the reform prohibiting outsourcing nationwide has been fully implemented , which has generated a significant increase in the number of employees registered with the Mexican Social Security Institute (IMSS) , with 20,420,823 registrations nationwide.
Regarding the Labor Reform in Baja California Sur, Algorri Franco presented some of the main topics addressed at the "Fifth Session of the Inter-Institutional Group for the Implementation of the Reform in the State," which included the dissolution of the Conciliation and Arbitration Boards, leaving them under the jurisdiction of the Federal Judiciary and local judicial branches; and the creation of specialized and impartial conciliation centers, as decentralized bodies with technical, operational, budgetary, decision-making, and management autonomy.
The fifth session was comprised of representatives from the State Congress, the State Judiciary, the CEDH (Center for Human Rights), the Transparency Institute, and the State Executive's secretariats. "This labor reform also modifies the union issue, giving all workers complete freedom to form or not to form a union. It makes union organizations more transparent," said Algorri Franco.
