Judicial elections in BC are ruled out as being at risk due to budgetary constraints

Mexicali, March 4. The budget issue does not jeopardize the extraordinary election of local judges and magistrates, according to Juan Manuel Molina García, president of the Political Coordination Board (Jucopo) of the Baja California Congress.

He acknowledged that the request for funding for the Baja California State Electoral Institute (IEEBC) is still under review by the Ministry of Finance, and potential discrepancies regarding the amounts do not jeopardize the holding of this unprecedented electoral process.

To organize the June 1 election, the IEEBC requested 241 million 529 thousand 45 pesos .

The Treasury Department is reviewing its viability.
