Tijuana, September 3.- Mexico City Mayor Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo and Governor Marina del Pilar Avila Olmeda signed the Agreement on Mobility and Digital Government, through which the administration of Mexico City will provide information and advice aimed at promoting various innovation projects within the Baja California State Government.
During her address during her visit to the state of Baja California, Sheinbaum Pardo congratulated Governor Marina del Pilar, noting that she has the support of the Mexico City government, as she is a governor approved by the residents of her state. Therefore, intergovernmental collaboration will make a difference in improving the quality of life for the residents of both states.
The Head of Government stated that both Baja California and Mexico City share diverse social characteristics, one of the main ones being cultural diversity, as both states have been subject to continuous migration processes throughout history, originating from both other regions of Mexico and foreign nations. This element, she stated, has enriched society and become a source of development.
"The agreement we signed today not only reflects the knowledge we have acquired as leaders of the City government and makes it available to the Government of Baja California and its residents, but it is also a coordination agreement through which we will learn from each other," Sheinbaum Pardo emphasized in her address to Baja California social, political, and business leaders.
An example of these advances, the capital's leader added, is the creation of the Digital Agency for Public Innovation, which has exponentially increased the number of procedures citizens complete, such as driver's licenses, vehicle registration cards, and birth certificates.
