This came in a speech delivered by the Turkish President on Wednesday during the launch of the Mawlid al-Nabi (Prophet's Birthday) Week event at the Convention and Culture Center at the Presidential Complex in the capital, Ankara.
President Erdoğan added: "If half of our hearts are here now, the other half is in Gaza, Palestine, Yemen, Sudan, and Afghanistan, where the bleeding wounds of the Islamic Ummah lie."
Erdogan emphasized, "We are not hopeless or pessimistic, and we will never be. Despite the injustice and lack of justice in our region, we will not allow despair to overwhelm us."
The Turkish president continued : "We can never stand silent in the face of what is happening in Gaza and Palestine, because we are Muslims, like a solid structure, and we must take action against the tyranny of that oppressor called Netanyahu."

Since October 7, 2023 , Israel, with US support, has been committing genocide in Gaza, leaving 63,746 martyrs and 161,245 wounded, most of them children and women. Thousands remain missing, hundreds of thousands displaced, and a famine has killed 367 Palestinians, including 131 children, as of Wednesday.
Earlier on Wednesday, Israeli Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir officially announced the launch of Operation Gideon 2, which aims to occupy the entirety of Gaza City after encircling it and displacing Palestinians from it.
Regarding the Mawlid al-Nabi week, the Turkish president said, “Today we celebrate the birth of the master of creation and the seal of the prophets, who was sent as a mercy to the worlds, our master Muhammad, may God bless him and grant him peace.” He added, “We Muslims rejoice on this day and remember this light that illuminated all of humanity.”
The Turkish president continued , "The life of the Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him, is a model for the entire world to emulate. He is a role model for the past and the future, and he is the perfect and excellent model for humanity." He added, "We have declared this the year of the family in Turkey, and the life of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, is the best model to emulate in this regard."
