Tijuana, November 12.- The sole federal delegate in Baja California, Alejandro Ruiz Uribe, announced Thursday night that he tested positive for Covid-19 and has mild symptoms, so he will continue to work in isolation.
In a press release, he explained that he asked staff who had been in close contact with him in recent hours to get tested for infection and to maintain distance from other coworkers.
Ruiz Uribe stated that his oxygen saturation level is normal, that he has not lost his sense of taste or smell, and that he is following medical recommendations. He attributed the mild symptoms to confirming the effectiveness of the COVID-19 vaccine he received.
The sole federal delegate urged those who have not yet decided to get vaccinated to do so, to prevent the damage caused by infection.
