Indonesian men's doubles pair Sabar Karyaman Gutama/Moh Reza Pahlevi Isfahani opened their campaign at the 2025 Hong Kong Open with a convincing victory over Danish pair William Kryger Boe/Christian Faust Kjaer.
Sabar/Reza dominated from the start of the match, finishing 21-10, 21-18 at the Hong Kong Coliseum on Tuesday. Focus from the opening points was key to their handling of the windy court conditions.
"Thank God, I'm grateful to have finished today's match well. Perhaps we focused on the early points because the shuttlecock position was a bit windy here, so whoever could control the front would get the most points," said Reza in an official statement from the Indonesian Badminton Association.
