Six Dewa United Banten players have been called up by the National Team Body (BTN) of the Indonesian Basketball Association (Perbasi) to attend the national team's training camp (TC) in preparation for the 2025 Thailand SEA Games.
One of the six players, namely Erick Ibrahim Junior, will train with the Indonesian men's 3x3 national team, while the other five, namely Kaleb Ramot Gemilang, Rio Disi, Patrick Nikolas, Dio Tirta Saputra, and Arthur Vadel Krisma Putra, will join the 5x5 national team training.
"We are proud of this call-up. From the start, Dewa United has been committed to contributing to the national team," said Dewa United Banten President Michael OW in Jakarta on Monday.
He explained that the club wants to continue contributing to the nation and state, one way of doing this is by empowering local players by giving them significant playing time in every Indonesian Basketball League (IBL) match.
He further explained that the summons was concrete evidence that player development at Dewa United was on the right track, especially for regeneration.
Therefore, he urged all players to repay the trust placed in them by national team coach David Singleton by training diligently to secure a spot in the national team squad ahead of their departure to Thailand in December.
