Tijuana, January 22. Two sites have been set up as temporary shelters for Tijuana residents who need them due to the heavy rains this Monday.
One of the shelters is located at the facilities of the System for the Comprehensive Development of the Family ( SDIF ), located at Insurgentes Boulevard 1760-8, Los Álamos subdivision.
The second point where Tijuana residents can go is located at the Tijuana Sports Complex , located at 13990 Ermita Avenue, Alfonso Corona del Rosal neighborhood.
Tijuana's Secretary of Welfare, Gerardo López Montes, said these shelters provide a safe space for those facing hardship due to the rains .
The activation of these shelters responds to the need to protect the community from adverse weather conditions and possible evacuations .
