The Ministry of Communication and Digital is opening registration for the 2025 Digital Literacy Guide selection from September 19 to 28.
The Digital Literacy Guide recruitment is aimed at finding volunteers who are able to educate and assist the community to become more competent, safe, ethical, and cultured in utilizing digital space.
"Digital Literacy Guides are the vanguard bridging the community with digital skills," said Bonifasius Wahyu Pudjianto, Head of the Human Resources Development Agency at the Ministry of Communication and Digital, as quoted in a ministry press release in Jakarta on Saturday.
"We want to ensure that every Indonesian citizen can utilize technology in a way that is productive, safe, and in accordance with the nation's cultural values," he said.
He said that public awareness of digital security and ethics continues to increase.
However, the challenges in utilizing digital space are still great, so the presence of Digital Literacy Guide volunteers is still needed.
"With the presence of the Digital Literacy Guide, we hope that Indonesians will not only become technology users, but also become healthy, critical, and empowered managers of digital spaces," said Bonifasius.
