Violent attacks and bombing of residential towers

Since dawn on Saturday, the Israeli occupation has killed at least 31 Palestinians and injured dozens more in a series of violent attacks, largely focused on Gaza City, which it seeks to occupy and displace its residents.

In the Sheikh Radwan neighborhood, eight Palestinians from the same family were killed, along with another child, in a drone strike on a group of civilians. In the Zeitoun neighborhood, civil defense crews recovered the body of a martyr from under the rubble.

Total destruction after 700 days of war

In a separate statement, the government media office in Gaza said the 700-day war has resulted in the near-total destruction of 90% of the infrastructure, with initial losses exceeding $68 billion.

The statement explained that during this period, the occupation committed massacres that resulted in the martyrdom and disappearance of 73,731 Palestinians, including more than 20,000 children and 12,500 women, in addition to the complete extermination of 2,700 families from the civil registry.

The war also killed 1,670 medical personnel, 248 journalists, 139 civil defense personnel, and 173 municipal employees, while more than 162,000 people suffered permanent disabilities, including amputation, paralysis, and blindness, according to the statement.

The statement noted the destruction of 38 hospitals, 833 mosques, and 163 educational institutions, in addition to thousands of other facilities, stressing that the occupation is imposing a systematic starvation policy that threatens the lives of more than 2.4 million Palestinians, half of whom are children.

The media office held the Israeli occupation and its supporting states, led by the United States, fully responsible for the "war crimes" committed. It called on Arab and Islamic countries and the international community to take immediate action to halt the aggression, end the siege, ensure the return of the displaced, and hold the occupation's leaders accountable before international courts.

Since October 7, 2023, Israel, with American support, has been committing genocide in Gaza, including killing, starvation, destruction, and forced displacement, ignoring all international appeals and orders from the International Court of Justice to halt it. In addition to the martyrs and wounded, most of whom are children and women, the genocide has left more than 9,000 missing and hundreds of thousands displaced.
