Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports Taufik Hidayat emphasized the priority of sports with the potential to achieve success at the 2025 SEA Games in Thailand this December.
"Not all sports have potential, so we really have to prioritize," said Taufik Hidayat in Jakarta on Tuesday.
The Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports has held a coordination meeting with the Indonesian athlete preparation review team for the 2025 SEA Games in Jakarta.
In his remarks, he emphasized the importance of accurate and efficient decision-making, given the remaining preparation time of just over two months. He emphasized the need for strict selection of sports, taking into account medal potential and the effectiveness of the number of athletes.
