Instagram is preparing a new feature that will allow users to customize the content algorithm they want to display or reduce in the Threads app.
As reported by Tech Crunch on Friday, this feature was first discovered by software developer Alessandro Paluzzi through a code analysis of the app. He stated that the feature is related to an algorithm-management tool also being developed for Instagram.
Instagram confirmed that the feature is still an internal prototype and has not yet been tested with users. However, the official account for the feature is already active on Threads under the handle @threads.algo and is followed by several Instagram engineers.
