South Korea's U-23 national team coach Lee Min-sung said that coach Gerald Vanenburg needed time to form a strong Indonesian U-23 national team.
This was stated by Min-sung at a press conference following his team's 1-0 victory over Indonesia in the final match of Group J of the 2026 U-23 Asian Cup Qualifiers at the Gelora Delta Stadium in Sidoarjo, Tuesday.
"I believe the new coach needs time to form their own team," Lee Ming-sung said at a press conference.
The 52-year-old coach is confident that Indonesia's strength will quickly rebound after their failure in the qualifying round. This confidence, Min-sung said, stems from the fact that the Garuda Muda possess talented young players.
