The official Palestinian news agency, WAFA, reported that occupation forces stormed the market at dawn, backed by a bulldozer, and forced shop owners to remove their merchandise before proceeding to demolish the shops without prior warning.

Local sources confirmed that the market contains approximately 50 shops, and that the demolitions have caused significant losses to the merchants, estimated at hundreds of thousands of shekels (one dollar equals 3.3 shekels) .

The Beita market is a major center for supplying fruits and vegetables to the northern and central West Bank. It employs approximately 40 wholesalers and employs approximately 400 workers. Over the past few years, the market has been subjected to repeated Israeli attacks, including closures, demolition, and arson.

In a related development, Israeli settlers attacked the village of Osarin, south of Nablus, injuring a Palestinian and damaging three vehicles there, according to the WAFA news agency.

Israeli occupation forces also arrested five Palestinians in Hebron, including a woman, and several others in Bethlehem, Ramallah, and towns in the northern West Bank, after separate raids on their homes.

In another development, dozens of settlers stormed Al-Aqsa Mosque from the Mughrabi Gate on Monday morning, carrying out provocative tours and performing Talmudic rituals under the protection of Israeli occupation forces, according to local sources.

On Sunday, settlers attacked citizens' lands in the villages of Al-Manqa' and Taljiza, northwest and west of the village of Farkha, west of Salfit. They demolished approximately 110 meters of stone walls and cut down more than 21 fruitful olive trees, according to the head of the Farkha village council, Mustafa Hammad.

Hammad pointed out that in October 2024, settlers established a pastoral outpost in the "Al-Batin" area of ​​the village's lands, as part of the "Greater Ariel" project, which is witnessing ongoing land-leveling operations.

In parallel with the war of extermination in Gaza, the Israeli occupation army and settlers in the West Bank, including occupied East Jerusalem, killed at least 1,018 Palestinians, injured nearly 7,000 others, and arrested more than 19,000, according to Palestinian data.

With American support, Israel has been committing genocide in Gaza since October 7, 2023, leaving 64,368 Palestinians dead, 162,367 injured, most of them children and women, more than 9,000 missing, hundreds of thousands displaced, and a famine that has claimed the lives of 393 Palestinians, including 140 children.
