Apple and Google remove immigration officer tracking apps in the US

Apple and Google recently removed a number of apps that allowed users to report the presence of United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officers in their neighborhoods.

The Gizchina page, Sunday (5/10), reported that this step was taken not long after the administration of United States President Donald Trump urged Apple to remove the popular application called ICEBlock from the App Store.

The Trump administration has claimed these apps could endanger the safety of immigration officers. However, developers and civil rights activists have denied these allegations.
