The Bank Jatim women's volleyball team maintained their hopes of reaching the 2025 Livoli Main Division Grand Final after defeating Rajawali O2C 3-2 in the Final Four match at the Ki Mageti Sports Hall in Magetan on Wednesday.
"We struggled mentally in the fifth set. The decision to bring on Megawati was crucial. Her presence not only adds to the attacking power but also calms the other players," said Bank Jatim coach Eko Waluyo in Jakarta on Wednesday, regarding his decision to bring back Megawati Hangestri Pertiwi in the fifth set, which proved to be the turning point in the victory.
The match was intense from the start. Rajawali O2C, playing aggressively, relying on fast attacks and tight defense, managed to put pressure on Bank Jatim and take the first set 25-23.
Pressure from the young Rajawali players made it difficult for Bank Jatim to develop their game.
However, the experience of the senior players made the difference in the second and third sets.
Bank Jatim appeared calmer with a varied attack pattern from various sides.
Rajawali O2C's defense began to falter and Eko Waluyo's team won the next two sets with a score of 25-17 and 25-17.
The momentum was lost in the fourth set when Rajawali again appeared free.
An unforced error by a Bank Jatim player cost the East Java team the set 21-25. The score was tied at 2-2, forcing the match into a deciding set.
