Erdogan affirms Türkiye's readiness with all its capabilities to help Gaza recover.

This came during a speech delivered by President Erdogan at the launch of the TRT World Forum in Istanbul under the slogan "Global Reconstruction: From the Old Order to the New Reality," which will continue for two days.

Erdogan said that "Hamas is keen to abide by the agreement, while Israel is looking for any pretext to violate it and resume its massacres," adding that "everyone knows Israel's bad record in fulfilling its commitments."

Regarding the tragic situation in Gaza as a result of the Israeli genocide, Erdogan stressed that almost not a single building in Gaza remained intact, explaining that all schools, churches, mosques and hospitals were bombed, therefore he denounced the claims of some that “Israel is innocent.”

He continued, saying: "Israel possesses nuclear weapons and the most powerful bombs and is capable of striking Gaza whenever and however it wants, so how can it be innocent?" He pointed out that 270 journalists were killed in Gaza while risking their lives in an effort to convey the facts to the world, in the face of an Israeli propaganda machine built on lies.

He addressed the Israeli occupation army’s use of starvation as a deadly weapon, especially against children, while stressing that Türkiye is ready with all its capabilities to help Gaza recover quickly.

During his speech, President Erdogan stated that innocent people are still dying in many parts of the world, even though the problems and solutions are often clear, noting that the institutions responsible for protecting global peace and stability have not taken any steps to stop massacres, prevent genocide, and save children's lives.

President Erdogan addressed the Sudanese issue, saying that Türkiye condemns in the strongest terms the atrocities committed against civilians in the city of El Fasher.

It is noted that the activities of the TRT World Forum kicked off today, Friday, with the participation of academics, politicians, civil society activists, think tank experts, bureaucrats and journalists.

Among the topics to be discussed on the first day of the forum are “Building Strategic Independence: Turkey and the Global Defense Model,” “A New Dawn for Syria: A Roadmap for Reconstruction and Stability,” “A Conflicting Future: Conflict and Reconciliation in East Africa,” and “From Victim to Resilience: The Road to Justice in Gaza.”

The forum was first launched in 2017 with the aim of creating a platform for discussing ideas that would make the world a more livable and fairer place, according to the organizers.
