This came during his meeting with the Emir of Qatar, Tamim bin Hamad, in the capital, Doha, which Erdogan is visiting as part of his Gulf tour, according to a statement issued by the Turkish Presidency's Communications Department.
President Erdoğan, accompanied by Emir Tamim, chaired the 11th meeting of the Türkiye-Qatar Supreme Strategic Committee in Doha on Wednesday.
During the meeting, President Erdoğan emphasized the strengthening of relations between Türkiye and Qatar, which are progressing well in military cooperation, the defense industry, energy, trade, investment, and other areas.
The Turkish president noted that the strategic partnership between Ankara and Doha contributes significantly to achieving regional and international stability. He emphasized that the ceasefire achieved in Gaza has given Palestinians some breathing space, and that the two-state solution represents the only solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, and that efforts will continue to achieve this goal.
President Erdoğan also made clear that Turkey will continue to resolutely support Syria's recovery process, emphasizing that cooperation with Qatar on the Syrian issue will continue across all areas, including energy, transportation, and humanitarian aid.
Later on Wednesday, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan departed the Qatari capital, Doha, heading to the Sultanate of Oman, the final stop on his Gulf tour, which began with a visit to Kuwait.
Erdogan was seen off at Hamad International Airport by Qatari Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense Saud bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, a number of officials, and Türkiye's Ambassador to Doha Mustafa Goksu.
The Turkish president is accompanied on his visit to the Sultanate of Oman by his wife, Emine Erdoğan, as well as Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, Energy and Natural Resources Minister Alparslan Bayraktar, Treasury and Finance Minister Mehmet Şimşek, Defense Minister Yaşar Güler, Industry and Technology Minister Mehmet Fatih Kacır, and Trade Minister Ömer Bolat.
He was also accompanied by the head of the National Intelligence Organization, Ibrahim Kalin, the head of the Presidency's Communications Directorate, Burhaneddin Duran, the head of the Defense Industries Authority, Haluk Gürgun, the president's senior advisor for security and foreign affairs, Akif Çağatay Kılıç, and figures from the ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP).
