Indonesian volleyball player Megawati Hangestri's contract has been terminated by Turkish League club Manisa BBSK.
Manisa BBSK explained the chronology of the contract termination of the Indonesian national team captain who was deemed to have failed to fulfill his obligation to join the team after the completion of the 2025 Livoli Premier Division.
"Our club volleyball team player, Megawati Hangestri Pertiwi, is traveling to her home country of Indonesia as part of the 2025/2026 Livoli Premier Division tournament, as stipulated in her contract," Manisa BBSK wrote on Instagram, as quoted in Jakarta, Tuesday.
"Although he was asked to rejoin our team after three days of the tournament as stipulated in his contract, the player failed to fulfill that obligation," Manisa BBSK wrote.
