Creative Economy Minister Teuku Riefky Harsya said that collaboration between creative economy workers and local IP with the e-sports or gaming sector could be an effort to advance the creative ecosystem not only nationally but also globally.
"This collaboration demonstrates that Indonesia's creative economy ecosystem is capable of creating synergies across sectors, from games, fashion, music, to fine arts and animation, creating works that are not only artistic but also have relevant appeal for the younger generation," Riefky said in his remarks at the Free Fire World Series (FFWS) Global Finals 2025 press conference.
He commended Garena Indonesia for hosting the FFWS Global Finals 2025 in Jakarta this year and providing a unique cross-sector collaboration space that could serve as a promotional tool to introduce Indonesian IP and culture to gaming fans worldwide.

This global event, organized by Garena Indonesia, involved two local IP creators for artwork and digital content collaboration, namely Tahilalats and Muklay, as well as musician and composer Weird Genius for song arrangements in the Free Fire game.
Meanwhile, for merchandise, Garena collaborated with Guru Batik from Yogyakarta to create stamped batik shirts with the FFWS logo design that can be obtained exclusively at the FFWS Global event location in Jakarta.
Riefky said the FFWS Global Finals 2025 is a momentum to encourage Indonesia to continue moving towards becoming a global e-sports hub, which will have an impact on opening up quality work spaces in the gaming ecosystem in particular, and Indonesian creative economy activists.
