Head of the Consumer Protection Department of the Financial Services Authority (OJK), Rudy Agus Purnomo Raharjo, emphasized the importance of prompt reporting by the public in addressing the increasing number of digital fraud or scams in Indonesia.
"The sooner the report comes in, the greater the chance of funds being saved," Rudy said in a discussion.
Rudy said that the OJK has established the Indonesia Anti-Scam Center (IASC) as an institution that functions to accelerate coordination between authorities and financial institutions to block fraudsters' accounts and return victims' funds.
