Indonesian women's singles player Putri Kusuma Wardani rose one spot to seventh in the world, displacing Gregoria Mariska Tunjung in the Badminton World Federation (BWF) rankings update for week 40 released Tuesday.
Putri KW, as she's known, now has 68,830 points. This rise is due to her consistent performances in recent tournaments, including reaching the semifinals of the Super 500 Korea Open last week.
This achievement also puts Putri one level ahead of Gregoria, who dropped to eighth in the world rankings with 68,360 points.
