Deputy Minister of Creative EconomyIrene Umar stated that local games from Indonesia have attracted the attention of the global market.
"The Coffee Talk game (from Indonesia) has collaborated with Parco (a coffee shop) in Shibuya (Japan). They often open shops there, pop-up stores to sell coffee branded with our local IP, and many Japanese people say, 'Is that your game from Indonesia? Very good.' Then I say, 'Of course we're good,'" said Irene when met in Jakarta on Saturday.
This is proof that games created by Indonesian children are increasingly high quality and are able to develop intellectual property ( IP ) not only through games alone.
