WhatsApp, the instant messaging platform from Meta, has introduced its "Message Summaries" feature to Indonesia, making it easier for users to quickly summarize unread conversations while maintaining user privacy.
"We're introducing Message Summary, a new feature powered by Meta AI to help you quickly summarize unread conversations while maintaining privacy. With just a glance, you can get the gist of a conversation before reading each message," WhatsApp said in a statement on Wednesday.
The "Message Summaries" feature, which has been brought to Indonesia, is of course available in Indonesian and is being rolled out gradually to users.
The way this feature works is by using "Private Processing" technology, allowing Meta AI to create message summaries in the app without giving either Meta or WhatsApp access to the user's private messages or summaries.
